A musing on TV & movie bad behavior

When watching a movie or TV comedy, sometimes you find yourself laughing at some very antisocial actions by the hero - where afterward you wonder, WTF? since in real life such actions would be appalling. Examples would be heroes sending murderous villains to off-screen gruesome & painful ends, or even a hero/antihero behaving obnoxiously - we're tempted to suspend our judgment during the film, to buy into the filmmaker's intent.

Other times the action portrayed is too sick even for the movies - and if the audience should find it uproarious nonetheless, it's disturbing.
