Closed mouths, thin skins at CABPRO

I have questions about Nevada County's antiregulation lobbying group CABPRO; I haven't been able to get answers via phone to the CABPRO office, via phone to executive director Martin Light, or via phone to founder Kim Janousek.

So I left a comment over on Russ Steele's Aug 10 post on the CABPRO blog:
Russ, how do I get in touch with someone from CABPRO, please?

It didn't survive moderation.

  1. More CABPRO reticence:
    In Sept 2010 Barry Pruett asserted that CABPRO is a 501(c)(4); I left a comment on BP's blog (reprinted here at JeffP's) asking how this could be verified (since CABPRO didn't show up on Guidestar.org); the comment did not survive moderation at Barry's blog.
    (Fortunately, Jeff Pelline and Steve Frisch are now on the case.)

    For more mysteries, see the June 2006 posts on the Sierra Environmental Studies Foundation, a CABPRO offshoot.

New policy re climate contrarianism comments as of 11/11/2009:
Comments questioning the climate science community's understanding of climate change (97% of active climatologists now believe that the earth is currently warming and that it's human-caused - link) will be deleted unless the commenter:
a) is local
b) uses his real name
c) provides link(s) to substantiate his claim(s)/inference(s)
d) is willing to collaborate on constructing an argument tree, to get us past the usual sterile point-counterpoint-countercounterpoint.

2) Don't post w/o giving at least a pseudonym;
