Another bike update: basket report
But if you're contemplating getting a bike, and contemplating putting rear baskets on it, you'd likely be better off getting a bike with a step-through frame. Otherwise you - and anyone you loan the bike to - must remember not to dismount by swinging a leg over the baskets, when they're loaded with stuff.

New policy re climate contrarianism comments as of 11/11/2009:
Comments questioning the climate science community's understanding of climate change (97% of active climatologists now believe that the earth is currently warming and that it's human-caused - link) will be deleted unless the commenter:
a) is local
b) uses his real name
c) provides link(s) to substantiate his claim(s)/inference(s)

For anyone who wants to carry stuff often, the sport utility bicycle from Xtracycle might be useful.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried it and I don't know how well it would work with electric bikes.
But it looks intriguing and even allows for carrying a passenger or wide load. (Not that those have anything to do with each other.)
